On the 14 th of January 2009 we visited the water conditioning plant and the sewage plant in Sulejowek
The water plant uses ground water and supplies the inhabitants of Sulejowek with drink water
The water is purified with compressed water filters.
The retention reservoirs contain the purified water as a precaution in case of a water plant failure.
The retention reservoirs of the sewage plant contain wastewater after mechanical sewage treatment. During the second stage of water treatment the wastewater is purified mechanically.
This is the retention water reservoir after the first stage of purified treatment.
The modern biological reactor has capacity of 1800 cubic metres a day.
This is a reservoir of excessive sediment in the sewage plant.
A round-the-clock monitoring of water purity and water conditioning is a complicated process. The qualitative parametres of sewage water correspond with the norms defined in enviromental regulations of the EU.
