OH & S WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY IS IT ???

The Victorian Occupational Health & Safety Act (2004) states that the employer must as far as is reasonably practicable, provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risks to health

Employees also have obligations under legislation to take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others and to cooperative with the employer in compliance with the legislation

Why Study OHS? One of the main reasons we study occupational health and safety is because as you just read on the previous slides – WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR OHS -Not just your employer -Not just the government -Look in the mirror to see the most important person responsible for your OHS
