DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME 1 Cor. 11:24

Partiality §Partiality is synonymous of Prejudice, Favoritism, is an inclination, predilection, and is to lean on somebody more than others. §The quality or state of being partial; inclination to favor one party, or one side of a question, more than the other; undue bias of mind. Lets define the word before we enter and study this very controversial subject.

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, See, this is new? It has already been in ancient times before us. 9… but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.v1. One who plays a part; especially, one who, for the purpose of winning approbation of favor, puts on a fair outside seeming; one who feigns to be other and better than he is; a false pretender to virtue or piety; one who simulates virtue or piety. -It is one who plays a role that does not belong to him, one who wears a mask. It is the one who pats your shoulder and stabs you in the back. - So when we hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ not in truth but faking it, we are hypocrites.

2For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, You sit here in a good place, and say to the poor man, You stand there, or, Sit here at my footstool, 4have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? 5Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

The problem of prejudice has existed long ago in religion. So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, Surely the Lords anointed is before Him. 7But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

This problem of partiality existed at Corinth and Paul condemns such an attitude when he said this to every body! Unacceptable!!!

Remember Peter with Cornelius? And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. 28Then he said to them, You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

SAMARITANS

The Respect of persons has no advantage: 5Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?

We will learn that No respect of persons means that treatment is uniform. 8If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well; 9but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

This is not an insignificant matter, this is very serious. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For He who said, Do not commit adultery, also said, Do not murder. Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

The Gospel is For All. All Nations… Matthew 28:19). Every creature (Mark 16:15). All nations (Luke 24:47). and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

No barrier for the gospel, No place for prejudice One billion dollars or three centssame gospel. Liberals or Democrats ---- same gospel. American or Chinesesame gospel. Black or Whitesame gospel. 18 or 80same gospel. Educated or uneducatedsame gospel.

1.All have sinned (Romans 3:23). 2.There is only one Savior (Acts 4:12). 3. There is only one gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). 4. Gods plan of salvation fits everyone.
