1 PRACTICING A CONSISTENT CHRISTIAN WALK: A Study in the book of James
“Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment” James 2:7-13

2 MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT James 2:8-13
8  If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well; 9  but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors  For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all  For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law  So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty  For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

3 MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT
THE INTERVIEW: Questions prompted by the Author: (vs.5-7) Has not God chosen the poor to be rich spiritually? Are not the rich the ones consistently oppressing you, extorting you and slandering you? Are not the rich the ones dragging you into court? Are not the rich the ones slandering the name of Jesus?

4 MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT
THE INTRUSION: THE ROYAL LAW: (The ‘Regal’ Law, regal because it originates with the King of Kings. THE LAW OF LOVE: (Love always wins out) John 13:34,35 THE LAW OF LIBERTY:

5 MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT
THE IMPLICATIONS ARE CONVINCING: (vs.12,13) Your SPEAKING and ACTIONS have already been judged by Christ’s Law of Liberty: The Gospel is the Law of Liberty; God judged Jesus for my sin; Jesus extends to me forgiveness; the I cannot turn around and condemn someone for something I deem wrong or partiality. If Someone shows NO MERCY; then Judgment will be merciless. Partiality is a judgment; it is showing no mercy. Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the MERCIFUL, for they shall receive MERCY.”

6 MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT
LIFE STEPS…. Partiality is best defeated from God’s point of view. In the same manner that you protect yourself from violation; protect others. You can show how MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT. (Receive it and give it away)
