Plan Subject Report 2007: 5-10 minutes writing a plan of the response is time well spent and can aid in providing a coherent and focused answer. Students should be encouraged to include the plan within the exam answer booklet-having made sure to draw a line through the plan to indicate it is not part of the essay answer obviously.

Analysis and Argument Respond to the question in the introduction Have a clear and convincing line of argument Use relevant material Show evidence of critical thinking

Organization and Writing Use terminology appropriately Structure the essay with a coherent use of a solid introduction body of evidence sound conclusion Writing is clear; spelling and punctuation is satisfactory.
