Parts of a Book

Predictions Trying to guess what might happen in the book before you read it. Samples of predicting questions: - Who is the story about? - What is going to happen in the story? It is ok if we make predictions and they are not correct.

Our Class Predictions Who do you think that this story was going to be about? What do you think will happen in this story? What are the clues that helped you to predict this?

Lets Listen to the story! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4IgcpPcQbM

Were our predictions right? What was this story about? Were we right when we made out predictions?

Let’s Review What is the title of this book? Who is the author? Point to the front cover of the book. Point to the spine of the book. Point to the back cover of the book. Who is the illustrator of the book?

Now let’s work on our own!
