My Manchester is a single point of access to digital services for students. In one place, students can access: Information Resources Advice Services and Systems that contribute to their success. What can My Manchester do?

My Manchester is segmented. Using data including Course Level of study Personal preferences and Demographics My Manchester serves students relevant content at the right time. What can My Manchester do?

My Manchester is personalised by each individual student. By selecting the portlets that they find most useful, and putting them where they can easily find them, students create a truly unique digital environment that suits their needs. What can My Manchester do?

My Manchester is a direct result of student feedback. Prior to 2011, students complained that they had to interact with several very different systems and websites. These systems were often difficult to navigate, and contained incorrect, inconsistent, or irrelevant information. Why do we need My Manchester?

Following its introduction in September 2011, student have commended the way My Manchester brings together their personalised services in one place. On an average day in term- time, there are 180,000 logins by 22,500 unique users. Students are also involved in the ongoing development of My Manchester. Why do we need My Manchester?

Because My Manchester is segmented, communications can be targeted to specific groups of students. Current examples include: My School tab Student information, advice and guidance Careers and placements advice Surveys for specific cohorts What can My Manchester do now?

My Manchester does not just provide links to other University systems. Instead, students can get their personalised system details such as: Timetable Course unit information Registration Library search ePayments account directly in My Manchester. What can My Manchester do now?

More and more services are being added to My Manchester, influenced by students’ requirements. The next step is to improve the way students access services, information, advice and guidance. Instead of students seeking out individual services they know about, My Manchester could present relevant services and content to them. What could My Manchester do next?

Offer-holders, current students, and alumni will receive targeted and personalised services that change as they progress, creating a seamless digital campus for students at every point of interaction with University services. What could My Manchester do next?

As we learn more about individuals students’ needs and preferences, My Manchester could deliver access to services, information, support and advice – any kind of content – as they need it, and before they ask for it. Services like Google Now already offer us a glimpse of what My Manchester could offer. and then…?
