High Intensity Trainee (HIT) Role
What will you be doing? Clinical practice 3 days per week 2 days at University Based in a variety of locations i.e. GP surgeries and at your PTP base Clinical supervision once a week with KCA and course supervision 12 contacts per week while you are training Reflective group, mandatory training and team meeting
The cases you will see Anxiety disorders: Panic disorder, Health Anxiety, Social phobia, Specific Phobia, OCD, GAD, PTSD. Depression; low self-esteem Co-morbidities (such as chronic pain, co- morbid depression and anxiety disorders, personality disorders) Moderate to severe presentations
Working using a CBT approach Collaborative Structured –Assessment and Formulation; Goals; Treatment plan and Interventions –Agenda setting; Homework –Relapse prevention Empirical basis –Evidence-based interventions –Use of Outcome Measures
Working using CBT within KCA –Assessment, formulation and treatment planning for a variety of disorders –Providing Time-Limited Interventions 8-12 sessions Carry out evidence-based interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behaviour activation exposure exercises and behavioural experiments –Managing and monitoring Risk and Safeguarding issues for your caseload –Measuring Outcomes and obtaining feedback
