Bienvenue à notre école! School Journey to Château du Baffy

The STS Château du Baffy lies on the edge of the small village of Colombiers-sur-Seulles, situated between Caen and Bayeaux. This is 6km from the seaside resort of Courselles-sur-Mer (Juno beach in the Normandy of 1944 landings).

Only two schools on site – separate quarters for both schools Superb private grounds and gardens Breakfast: fruit, cereals, bread, yogurts, cold meats and cheese Children and teachers prepare own packed lunch Three course dinner – waiters and waitresses! Bedrooms: between 2-4 children sharing with en-suite facilities

Day 1 Depart school. Connect with channel crossing. Arrive at château for evening dinner. Evening activity: Jeux Sportifs

Day 2 Morning: Arromanches 360 degrees cinema. ‘The Price of Freedom’ film mixes unreleased footage from archives of war correspondents with present day pictures shot on location in now peaceful settings. Arromanches Landing Museum: dedicated to the advances of the British after the Normandy beach landings. War Cemetry at Colleville. Afternoon: West Adventure – high ropes and zip wires Evening: Jeux Sportifs

Day 3 Morning: Visit to family run organic bakery Afternoon: Visit to Courselles-sue-Mer beach Evening: Bowling in Courselles Day 4 Morning: Visit to the Bayeux Museum and market Afternoon: Visit Festyland Theme Park Evening: ’Degustation’ (food tasting) – les escargots et les grenouilles et soirée disco
