RULES FOR THE ROOM (NORMS) 1)Take responsibility for your own learning and the steps necessary to accomplish it. 2)Help each other to become more skilled artists/performers. 3)Respect the room, each other, and the art form. 4)Follow the Policies/Procedures (outlined in the handout) 5)Be an active participant in classroom activities. 6)Take calculated and intelligent risks in performance.

ENDURING UNDERSTANDING Musical Theatre performers need to continually develop both voice and body. Musical Theatre encompasses many different theatrical styles. Musical Theatre has evolved throughout history, reflecting cultural and social changes.

ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS How do a variety of art forms work together to create Musical Theatre? How does Musical Theatre reflect different cultures and societal change throughout history? Why is aesthetic judgment important to performance?
