Kapitán Jan 8 th May of 2009 UNIVERSITY: Czech technical university in Prague FACULTY: Transport sciences

 We have one of the highest percent of accidents in Europe  Many accidents are caused by bad infrastructure  Drivers rarely see police in the street  Drivers don’t accept rules, althouhgt the enforcement are very high

 Width 11m ! (parameters of rural) – 2 lanes  Reason - It served for through city traffic, but nowadays there were built other alternative routes. So drivers don´t use this road so much as earlier  This „travel demand“ on width and capacity are not useful and necessary and they are not in accordance with modern trends in projection.

Bottom crossing

Middle part

Upper crosings

 Width  Traffic signs – horizontal and vertical  Exceeding speed  Pedestrian crossings  Drivers aren’t motivated to keep their speed  Sight conditions on crossings

Using of CALMING DEVICES as much as possible and optimalization of width lanes & UPGRADE ROAD SUROUNDINGS for better living conditions around the road (greenings, trees etc…)

Thank you!
