Book Review by Harley Storey

The books start with a 16-year old girl named Zoey Redbird getting “marked” by a tracker from the Tulsa House of Night. She is forced to leave her home and her family to live at the House of Night School for Vampyres. She is now known as a fledgling. But Zoey is no ordinary fledgling, she has very special powers given by the Goddess Nyx. Zoey has to learn to trust herself and her new friends, but as time goes along, everything is not what it seems to be at this House of Night.

Cast in collaboration with her teenaged daughter, Kristin Cast. With the glut of vampire fiction in the current YA market it takes something special to standout from the crowd. Marked seems to have that something special and ticks all the right boxes as it gets the House of Night series off to a strong start. (
