CMS Supports Culture Change Culture Change is an item on Administrator’s Action Plan – fits with the OBRA law and CMS regulations We have been educating surveyors through several satellite broadcasts and national regulator teleconferences Participated in the panel for this research Co-sponsored with Pioneer Network the Creating Home Symposium

CMS and Culture Change CMS contractors, the QIOs, did large project on culture change, assisting hundreds of nursing homes Some staff have visited innovative homes, some have become Eden Associates Culture Change groups among our stakeholders

How This Research Fits In We are happy to see so many homes starting or part way along the trail to culture change The changes they are making help provide more choice and better quality of life for residents and better worklife for staff.
