al-khwarizmi The inventor of algebra By Justin St.Cyr

Al-Khwarizmi was born around 780 in Baghdad

As he grew up he became a student in the house of wisdom. At the time people that went to the house of wisdom had to work there to so the house of wisdom was his first job.

Al-Khwarizmi was the best mathmatition of his time. He also studied geometry and astronomy while he was in collage.

When he graduated college he thought he could find a different way to do math so he created algebra He created algebra to use is as a similar way to do math. This was his first method of algebra.

On May 16 850 he died in Bagdad. Today we still use algebra but we have made it much more complex.

He appropriated the place-marker symbol of zero which originated in India, and he is also responsible for the use of Arabic numerals in mathematics that forever changed the way the world thinks about numbers.
