St. Mark the Evangelist Youth Ministry strives to empower young people to be Disciples of Christ through fun, faith, fellowship, and service. It is our goal to bring teens into the life of the faith community and to enrich their spiritual and personal growth. We hold social events, discipleship projects, and faith sharing activities. Our leadership team is rooted in the Gospel message and dedicated to helping young people develop healthy relationships with Jesus, their friends and family. Our High School Lighthouse meets on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm in the Worship Area. Middle School teens meet on Wed. Nights for Coffee House from 6:30-8:00 pm. There are service opportunities and Social Ministry Projects listed on the calendar throughout the year. Service to Church Community Opportunities Food Pantry- Help to organize and restock the Food Pantry-every Tuesday from 3- 6:00pm SMARTS Bake SaleHeld twice a year. Check the calendar for dates. Drop off baked goods on the Friday or Saturday before the sale. Lent Fish Fry--- Every Friday of Lent except Good Friday. Help with set up, serving, clean up and wherever else you may be needed. Religious Education Assistant---assist in the Religious Education Classroom. Contact the Religious Education Dept for details. Nursing Home visitation- (This usually falls on the third Saturday of each month, but see calendar for dates.) Usher, Altar Server, Reader, are all Service to the Church Community. Assist with Breakfast with Santa and/or Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Be creative and come up with your own project to serve your Church Community!
