New Orleans, USA. Hurricane Katrina, Caused by a bad construction. Is more vulnerable to natural disaster because of the zone where its located. Government response was lacking. The storm caused more than 50 breaches in drainage canal leves.

Bangladesh, India. Caused because deltas. Deltas are able to grow fast Low-lying islands are very vulnerable to floods Poor comunications 1987, 1988 and 1991 were of catastrophic consequence.

Recent floods in 2004 and : affected 57,300 km 2 of land, (about 40% of the total area of the country) 1988: 82,000 Km2 (about 60%). 1998: over 75% of the country area was flooded. 18 major floods occurred in the 20th century. 2004: over half of country was under water.
