A point of view in which the narrator KNOWS ALL about the characters in a story

An example of 3 rd person omniscient we read this year would be in the Rikki-tikki-tavi. The narrator is someone who is observing all of this, and watching it take place “This is the story of the great war that Rikki-tikki-tavi fought” “Darzee, the tailorbird, helped him, and Chuchundra the muskrat, gave him advice”P.199

1.As the man saw her start up the hill, he moved quickly into the shelter of the huge old maple tree. If she saw him now, everything would be ruined. 2.She thought she saw a shadow move high up on the slope, but when she looked again it was gone.

3 rd person omniscient is where a narrator knows all about the characters and what will happen next. We need to know what the different is between the point of views so we can better understand literature. Some times people can get confused between the different types of 3 rd person. So its important that we understand the differences now so we can avoid the misunderstandings later on during The EOGs
