Why Vital Signs? Why now?

Explores the qualities of our city that contribute to a sense of belonging, trust and inclusion between local people.

“Look how many families have to use the food bank just to feed their kids. Those with money don’t appreciate how hard others are finding it right now.” Beanhill Focus Group Participant

People’s Poll - Safety

62.4% local residents agree with the statement, “working people cannot easily afford to buy a house in Milton Keynes.” If the median income in Milton of Keynes is £26,600, and the average house price is £200,000, is home ownership for lower to middle income families becoming a thing of the past? If so, is that acceptable?

People’s Poll – Local Economy

The extent to which individuals in our community have access to meaningful employment opportunities and the nature and quality of that employment all contribute to feeling satisfied in our working lives. This greatly impacts on our quality of life.
