How do we know the academic potential students have? – Mr Mellows Remember key stage 2 SATs? English, Maths, Science. Students were given a level (e.g. 4,5) Actually they were given a sub level too (e.g. level 4c, 5b) Each sub level is worth points! level 4c =27, 5c =33

KS2 Average points score (APS) Add up the sub level points, divide by 3 gives an Average Points Score. APS are used to PREDICT key stage 4 outcomes (GCSE/BTEC outcomes)
