We are closing towards the End of Times Fitnah and Fasad in our times These conditions were prophesised by our Prophet (SAWS) Signs given by our Prophet (SAWS) for the coming of the End of times are: o Minor Signs o Major Signs Appearance of Imam Mahdi is the last of the minor signs prophesised

Al-Huda Foundation’s goal on this agenda Understanding of Imam Mahdi according to the Sunah Clarifying confusions and misconceptions regarding Imam Mahdi Creating awareness of deceptions and falsehood being spread in our community Keeping ourselves and children safe from evil

Who is Imam Mahdi? Literal meaning: The guided one who guides Mahdi is a title and not a name He will have the same name as the Prophet (SAWS) He will be of the lineage of the Prophet (SAWS) Hadeeth narrated by Ibn Masood (RA) : The Messenger (SAW) said: “even if only one day was left of this world, Allah would make that day long so that He (Allah) could send a man who is of my family, whose name is as my name and his father’s name is as my father’s name” (Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood)

Who is Imam Mahdi? We can infer the following: o His name - Muhammad bin Abdullah at his birth o His father - named Abdullah at his birth We also infer anyone who changed their names to Muhammad bin Abdullah to fit the criteria is not Imam Mahdi!

Hadeeth pertaining to Mahdi’s lineage “ Abu Ishaq told that Ali looked at his son Al-Hassan and said: This son of mine is a Sayyid (chief) as named by the Prophet (SAWS), and from his loins will come forth a man who will be called by the name of your Prophet (SAWS) and resemble him in conduct but not in appearance. He then mentioned the story about his filling the earth with justice. ” (Abu Dawood)

Interpretation from the Hadeeth He will be of the Ahlul Bayt (household or family of the Prophet SAWS) His lineage will be of the lineage of Hassan (RA) the son of Ali (RA) and Fatimah (RA) daughter of the Prophet (SAWS). o Note: Allah has blessed Hassan Ibn Ali (RA) - he gave up his claim to the caliphate for the Ummah and for unity, hence Imam Mahdi has a pure blessed lineage.

Physical description of Imam Mahdi He will be an ordinary man, he will be born and he will live as an ordinary person Hadeeth pertaining to his physical description: Abu Saéed Al-Khudri narrated that the Prophet (SAWS) said: “the Mahdi is of me. He has a high forehead and a prominent nose. He will fill the world with fairness and justice as it will be filled with wrongdoing and injustice and he shall rule for 7 years” (Abu Dawood)

The purpose of his appearance The world will be filled with fitnah and fasad Disunity and internal fighting within the Ummah will be prevelant The world would need a reviver and reformer of Islam to purify the state of the Ummah and bring peace and unity.

When will he appear? The Prophet SAWS has not specified a time as to his coming, except to say that it will be near to the end of times Many false predications have been and continue to be made. All these are lies and should not be believed If the Prophet SAWS was not given this knowledge then no one can claim to have been given this knowledge.

Hadeeth(s) pertaining on locations and proximity of Imam Mahdi On the authority of Thawban,The Prophet (SAWS) said: “Before your treasure, three will kill each other - all of them are sons of a different caliph but none will be the recipient. Then the Black Banners will appear from the East and they will kill you in a way that has never before been done by a nation.....If you see him give him your allegiance, even if you have to crawl over ice, because surely he is the Caliph of Allah, the Mahdi. If you see the black flags coming from Khurasan (present day Afghanistan), join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice, for this is the army of the Caliph, the Mahdi and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem.” (Ibn Majah and Ahmed)

Hadeeth(s) pertaining on locations and proximity of Imam Mahdi bring him out against his will Umm Salamah RA narrates, The Prophet (SAWS) said: “Disagreement will occur upon the death of a Caliph and a man of the people of Medina will flee to Mecca. Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and make him accept their Bay'a (being chosen as a leader) (at a location) between the Rukn (corner of the Ka'ba containing the Black Stone) and the Maqam (Place) of Abraham (located on a side of the Ka'ba). An army from the people of AshSham (Greater Syria) will then be sent against him, but Khusf (land collapse) will happen to them (they will die) in the Baidaa (desert) between Mecca and Medina. When the people see this, the Abdal (pious eminent individuals) of Syria and the Asa'ib (pious individuals) of the people of Iraq will come to him and offer him Bay'a (accept his leadership) between the Rukn and the Maqam.....“(Abu Dawood)

Khurasan or Madinah?? He will be from Madinah and on hearing his appearance the army from the east with black flags will come to support him. When this army emerges then go and give your pledge of allegiance to him even if you should crawl to him on snow.

What will he do as a Calipha and conditions of his Reign He will be the leader of the entire muslim Ummah He and his followers will remove injustice and oppression from the Ummah He will be given rule on the earth for 7 years The earth will be filled with peace and Barakah (blessings) Rain will be abundant and there will be no poverty His rule will be the most prosperous rule of any Calipha before or after him

The coming of Dajjal Who is Dajjal? The word Dajjal refers to fraud and deception. He will use false tricks and miracles to deceive mankind. He is also referred to as the one eyed liar, as one of his eyes will be blind. He is the anti-christ and the false messiah as he will claim to be the true messiah (Nabee Esa ASA) All the Prophets ASA warned their people of the coming of Dajjal and that his evil will be the worse fitnah to ever befall mankind.

The coming of Dajjal He will test and shake the foundations of ones iman. How will he do this? He will be given the powers such as the ability to cure the sick and send down the rain and even to resurrect the dead. He will deceive the world into following him. No one alive at that time will be able to escape his fitnah and that is why we should not hope or make duah to see these times as most people will be overcome and defeated by the deception of Dajjal. The coming of Dajjal will be first of the ten major signs of qiyamah

When Will Dajjal appear? Dajjal’s coming will coincide with the rule of Imam Mahdi The rule of the Mahdi will come to an end with the emergence of Dajjal The Mahdi and those of the believers who support him will try to fight Dajjal but will have no power over him They will face great hardships Until Allah sends the true Messiah Esa ibn Marayum ASA, the only one who will possess the power to defeat the Dajjal

The coming of Nabee Esa (AS) “And he (Nabee Esa AS) shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the hour”. (Surah Zukhruf : 61) He will come down at “The White Minaret” in the east of Damascus resting his hands on the wings of two angels The army of the Mahdi will be camped outside the Masjid It will be just after the Iqaamah had been given for the Fajr salah Imam Mahdi, who will be standing in front to lead the salah, will offer the lead to Nabee Esa (AS), but Nabee Esa will refuse Together Nabee Esa (AS) and imam Mahdi will fight against Dajjal The ahaadeeth then become silent on what happens to Imam Mahdi after the coming of Nabee Esa (AS) Scholars assume that Imam Mahdi may pass away during the war against Dajjal. But Allah knows best Nabee esa (AS) will then lead the Ummah and defeat and kill Dajjal

The middle way between denial and exaggeration Much confusion and falsehood has been spread regarding the Mahdi So what is the correct way as our beloved Prophet (SAWS) taught us regarding the Mahdi? The Mahdi is a reality not a myth as those who reject the hadith of the Prophet (SAWS) claim He shall be a man and not a symbol/metaphor for guidance. His birth is yet to occur. he was not born 1200 years ago as is claimed by the Shia His linage will be that of Hassan and not of Husain

The middle way between denial and exaggeration His name, as the Prophet (SAWS) mentioned, will be Muhammad bin Abdullah and not Muhammad bin Hasan as claimed by the Shia 12vers or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as claimed by the Ahmadis or Ahamd bin Hassan He will not be hidden or invisible as is claimed by the Imami Shias. He will be a reviver of the sunnah and renewer of the teachings of the Prophet (SAWS). He will not receive wahi or be a new prophet as is claimed by the Ahmedis

The middle way between denial and exaggeration Beware “miracle” worship or follow those claiming to have super natural powers as this is the route to Dajjal. The Mahdi will not have any fantastical powers such as Being able to control the sun and the moon. He will not have knowledge of the unseen. He will not be able to resurrect the dead. Even our beloved Nabee (SAWS) did not have these powers Dajjal will have super natural powers, such as curing the sick and raising the dead.

Some of those who claimed to be the Mahdi and lessons to be learnt Ubayd Allah ibn Maymoon Al Qaddaah (325 H) who claimed to be the Mahdi then to have hidden knowledge. He managed to establish a kingdom that lasted for over 200 years and that was responsible for the killing of many thousands of Muslims and even the steeling of the black stone from the ka’bah. Salahudeen al Ayoubi managed to rid the ummah of this evil dynasty.

Some of those who claimed to be the Mahdi and lessons to be learnt Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835–1908) claimed to be an islamic reformer then claimed to be the mahdi and the messiah and finally his followers claimed him to be a prophet. As a result the followers of the Ahmediyyah believers have been declared out of the fold of islam by the ulema of the world. The Ahmadi “mosque” in Britain is the largest in western Europe.

Some of those who claimed to be the Mahdi and lessons to be learnt Siyyid `Alí Muhammad Shirazi claimed to be the “baab” or door way to the hidden 12 th Shia Imam. This led to the founding of the Baha’I Faith, a new religion with its head quarters now in Israel

Some of those who claimed to be the Mahdi and lessons to be learnt Muhammad bin abd Allah al-Qahtani, 1979 seizure of the haram where hundreds of muslims were killed and the Kaábah was held hostage for over a week.

The most recent Mahdi claimant His name is Ahmad al-Hassan. His followers call him Imam Ahmad al-Hassan al-Yemeni. He is from Basra, Iraq He is middle aged No photos available They put in front of his name His followers think he is "a Mahdi" before THE IMAM MAHDI (ATFS) He was a civil engineer then decided to study deen at a Shia madressa but decided that this wasn’t to his liking and then studied on his own. He then claimed to be the messenger of the Mahdi and the “saviour” of the world The Shia “ülema” have labeled him a liar and his group a deviant sect. The Sunni ulema are united in declaring him and his message falsehood. The purpose of the series “the arrivals” was engineered by his organization to gain support for this false Mahdi. Who do you think they mean when they say he has arrived?

They have openly began targeting our people in Cape Town so as to mislead our community

We ask Allah to guide us and keep us safe Ameen
