Anthony Robles

Personal I nformation Anthony Robles was born without a right leg or right hip bone. Anthony started wrestling as a freshman in high school. When Anthony started wrestling he weighed in at a tiny 90 lbs.

Accomplishments Anthony won the state championships while he was in high school. Anthony won the Pac – 10 championships three times. Anthony was a four time NCAA qualifier at 125 pounds. Anthony was also an three time allAmerican. Anthony won the NCAA tournament in 2011.

Challenges/Obstacles Anthony was born with only one leg. Anthony had to overcome the fact that he flat out sucked as a freshman in wrestling He had to overcome all the speculation that he wasn’t going to be able to wrestle. Once Anthony proved that he was going to be able to wrestle people began saying that he had an unfair advantage.

Fun Facts Even though Anthony has only one leg people began saying that he had an unfair advantage. Anthony's upper body is bigger than all of his opponents but since he was missing a leg that makes up 30% of his body weight he can make the 125lbs weight class.

All about the author AJ Gavillan I was born on August 12,1999 in Orlando Florida. I started wrestling in the summer between 3 rd and 4 th grade. I took 6 th in Florida states at 90lbs. I moved to Virginia when my dad got a job offer. I wrestle for the USA wrestling league. I plan to make the Virginia school boy wrestling team for Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling.
