7 Life as a pro As the first African American pro baseball player he was faced with many challenges. Since the U.S. was still segregated many fans (the whites) opposed him. Even though he was one of the best on the team the fans still threw and yelled many terrible things. His teammates weren't much different either. 8 Reaction In my opinion if Jackie Robinson never of stuck through all of the hardship of the fans and teammates the baseball world would have been still segregated. So if it wasn't for his bravery the world might not be as it is today.
