AEFL PD System Certificates and reporting now done in PD Hours, not PD Points No major changes to policies or system Upgrades to The Guide to PD Reporting: –PD Hours awarded for service on state and national boards whose mission is to advance the field of AEFL. 25 PD Hours / 1 yr service –Sample PD Action Plan now available on PD Web page

New Teacher Orientation - Profiles New Teacher Profiles A – new to your program, but experienced in adult basic education at a different AEFLA-funded program B – new to AEFLA-funded adult ed, but experienced teaching adults C – completely new to teaching adults

Three Levels of NTO Local Program NTO - PDAG will provide suggested topics to cover, local delivery Colorado AEFL NTO – PDAG is developing an online, self-paced course delivered through the CDE Web site Adult ed principles and practice NTO – PDAG will direct teachers to high-quality options – EDU courses, online self-study courses, online print resources

PD Reporting – FY09 Teachers participate in PD across four strands – refer to Guide to PD Reporting Teachers record PD Hours on Teacher’s Annual PD Activity Record Program Directors compile PD Hours of all AEFLA-paid staff on spreadsheet Submit spreadsheet as part of Annual Program Report – October 2009
