Sources of Fiqh 4 main sources of fiqh: Qur’an Sunnah Mutawatir Sahih Hasan Da’if Mawdu Ijma’ (scholarly consensus) Qiyas (juristic analogy)

Sources of Fiqh Textual evidence must be examined from 2 perspectives: Authenticity of text (thubut) Focus on isnad (chain of narration) Meaning of text (dalalah) Focus on matn (text itself)
