Objectives n Fish egg incubation projects are a valuable education tool n Students witness and participate in the birth and early life stages of salmonids n Students learn about the habitat needs of salmonids n Facilitates learning in science, math, and other disciplines n Fosters resource stewardship and lifelong interest in natural world Nevada Department of Wildlife ANGLER EDUCATION

n Coordinated through NDOW’s Conservation Education and Fishery Bureaus n Las Vegas Fly Fishing Club, Southern Nevada Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Truckee River Fly Fishers, Carson City Fly Fishers and High Sierra Fly Casters - Provided Volunteers & Sponsorship n It is not part of a fish stocking program n It is not intended to enhance existing fish populations or start new ones Nevada Department of Wildlife ANGLER EDUCATION

The Process n October to November- Schools apply for the Chillers and Eggs n Applications are sorted by regional educational needs and approval is given to schools who qualify n December- Teachers will be notified approximately one month prior to delivery, dates varies with stock availability n Egg deliveries will be at specific locations and teachers will be responsible for pick up n Egg to fry and release Nevada Department of Wildlife ANGLER EDUCATION
