Introduci ng : Software Architecture: Implemented in Microsofts Visual Studio.NET in C#. Institutions select relational database manager from the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access, and FoxPro. Re:discovery.NETs architecture will be three-tiered: 1. The presentation layer 2. The application business logic 3. The database layer to allow maximum flexibility in implementation, performance tuning, and scalability. Multiple report writers: Crystal Reports, the Microsoft Visual FoxPro Report Designer, and Re:discoverys Quick Report.

Introduci ng : Basic Screen Layout: Left Information bar allows for going anywhere from anywhere. A List view of the records allows for browsing and viewing records simultaneously. A summary view gives catalog number, basic classification information, object name, the description, and the primary image. Click the Details tab… …And the Details screen contains all the fields for the record and is ready for data entry and modification.

Introduci ng : List View: The List view is active at the same time as the data views. Use common functions for a grid in Windows, such as resizing columns and sorting by clicking on column headers. List View resized by simply clicking and dragging.

Introduci ng : Data Record: Views include: Summary, Details, and Images. Use tabs at the bottom of the screen to switch easily between views of the catalog record.

Introduci ng : Data Record: Summary View A summary view of the record gives catalog number, basic classification information, object name, the description, and the primary image.

Introduci ng : Data Record: Detail View When the user clicks in a field a blue outline appears to indicate that field is active. For memo fields the box has its own scroll bar.

Introduci ng : The thumbnail view shows the images in thumbnail format. Data Record: Images There are two ways to view all the images attached to a record, the thumbnail view and the slideshow view. The Slide show view gives a larger version of a selected thumbnail.

Introduci ng : Customize Preferred Work Area: The work area can be set up by resizing areas of the screen; choosing options from the pulldown menus; or clicking buttons on the button bar.

Introduci ng : Word Search: There is a quick access to simple Boolean word searches using a field that is always available on the button bar.
