2 Research for development Set up by the Politecnico di Milano in 2003, the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano was established by major companies and local authorities to promote and create systematic collaborations between the UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENTS, COMPANIES and PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONS, in order to exploit the results of the research and contribute to the creation of entrepreneurial innovations. 11 Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, 2009 | 2011 A young area with a long experience.. The ​​ Digital Learning & Collaboration area was established with the aim of creating new projects that enhance didactical innovation through experimentation and use of technologies and methodologies aimed at improving quality, effectiveness and penetration of training opportunities in different contexts, from young sector to professionals. The methodologies of e-collaboration applied to working and learning groups represent a particular expertise in this area, developed over the years through the development of ad hoc projects. The working group is made up of 4 project managers that combine the capabilities of project design and management with a mix of skills ranging from teaching methods to instructional design, web-design and gaming. ​​ Digital Learning area, launched in 2012, is active in projects on local, national and international contexts: school, university, business and cooperation scenarios.
