 To inculcate 21 st century skills to enhance student’s abilities to understand the concepts of social studies.  To enable students to use IT to gain access to additional information sources.

To enable students to:  describe the key aspects of any religion that influences the beliefs and value.  identify and describe the similarities and differences within and between various religions.  To use black cat software to write an acrostic poem.  complete the project work.

Grade : 4 Topic : Culture and Religion Content : explanation, discussion, group activities, project work. Skills : Understanding, class discussion, religious awareness, answering enquiry questions, written account.

 I will list the objectives on the board for the student’s knowledge so that they can understand what they will achieve by the end of the lesson. objectives  Introduce the appropriate vocabulary related to the topic and will ask to describe the similarities and differences within and between various religions. vocabulary  I will provide an opportunity to the students for a group discussion on different religions.  I will gauge their understanding about a lesson through a worksheet about different religions. worksheet  Will ask them to use Black Cat Write Away Software to write an acrostic poem on ‘RELIGIONS’ Black Cat Write Away  Will encourage them to make a project booklet. project booklet

Challenges: 1. Students will get hyper in doing the group activity. 2. Not many computers in the ICT lab to complete the individual task on time. 3. Some students will not have access to internet and will face difficulty in completing their project. Solutions: 1. Will give the time limit and incentives to those who completes the task on time. 2. Will ask ICT teacher to extend his plan for two weeks so that each child can get a chance to complete their task by giving them a time limit. 3. Will ask ICT teacher to help them to complete the project work.
