National CMFC (Facilities) and Cost Pool 9 FY 2003 - FY 2013 $1,000’s 2006 – first year for CP09 (split out FA&O facility maintenance); could not find rec main/MPL/OTT split 2003-2005 OTT – includes cost pools, WO salary/projects, tech (CIO), etc. Where seeing major reductions – recreation maintenance and MPL CMFC – WO currently working on allocation criteria – more transparent for FY13 FY12 with major cut – trying to be more strategic FY12 – allocations were based on past allocations (R/S/A %s of total) Some ideas related to CMFC – some would require legislative approval which would make FY14 the earliest we could possibly implement Increase threshold for major project (currently $250,000) Request more flexibility for reprogramming at R/S/A or Chief level (currently only Chief can approve a change of a MPL less than 10% of total project and <$1,000,000) change definition of minor construction to include major maintenance such as roof replacement Allow project funds to pay for single purpose facility construction/maintenance – crew quarters for fire Include NEPA costs in Planning & Design Clarify / be consistent with how display and account for cost pools for MPL Developing alternatives – plan to send back out to R/S/As for feedback, hope to implement in FY13 (however, FY13 MPL already “set” – published as part of FY13 BJ) Washington Office, latest update May 18, 2012

GARP – Geospatial Accomplishment Reporting Program Phase 1 includes Road Decommissioning (Both System and Unauthorized Roads) and AOP. We will likely have to move toward mandating use of the Road Maintenance Planning Module (RMP) in the next few years. System Road Decommissioning is relatively easy – if we use RMP. Unauthorized roads are not required to be entered into Infra, nor placed on the GIS coverage. Watershed folks are tracking this in the Watershed Improvement Tracking (WIT) system. We need to work with watershed folks so we’re not duplicating effort. They may already be putting these in GIS. Consider allowing them to enter the tabular data in Infra.
