Style Models Based on your notes/annotations, answer the following questions. What is the text about? 2. Why has the text been written? 3. When was the text written? Consider contextual issues. 4. For whom was it written? Be specific. 5. How was it written? How has the writer selected and shaped their choices in order to fulfil the requirements of the text?

Style Models Look at the style model you brought in for the writing ideas generator task. Annotate the style model using the same process as you have just applied to the previous style model. Complete the sheet to identify what you found and how it may influence a subsequent written piece.

Next lesson Bring in examples of writing to: persuade inform entertain Also complete the analysis of your style model: initial coded annotation, developed analysis of features, a response to questions 1 to 5 These will be handed in so ensure they are written in prose, are detailed and use subject specific terminology.

Next lesson Select three potential ideas for coursework. Bring in a style model for at least one idea.
