Key point of TF1 discussion on June 14 China and Japan presented the draft proposal of EVS-GTR with the rationale confirming the functionality and reliability of isolation monitoring system base on FMVSS305 and keeping current water test for EVs without isolation monitoring system with the exemption for isolation monitoring equipped vehicles. USA proposed that all EVs should do the water test. OICA proposed that postponing water test to phase 2. Canada proposed that regarding the water test as contracting party option.

TF1 Meeting minutes All contract parties confirm the significance of water test and agree with including water exposure test in phase 1. Open issues:Whether the vehicle equipped with isolation monitoring systems need to be tested. China, Japan and Korea’s position are keeping current water test for EVs without isolation monitoring system with the exemption for isolation monitoring equipped vehicles. USA, EU and Canada’s position are all EVs should do the water test. Canada proposed that regarding the water test as contacting party option which did not reach an agreement so far.
