Nutrients

My body needs nutrients to grow and be healthy.

A little bit of fat gives your body a lot of energy A little bit of fat gives your body a lot of energy. Too much fat can make your heart unhealthy.

Cholesterol can make your heart unhealthy.

Sodium is salt. Too much sodium is bad for our heart.

Fiber helps your body digest food.

Sugar gives your body energy Sugar gives your body energy. Too much sugar can make you overweight and sick.

Iron helps your body make blood Iron helps your body make blood. Not enough iron can make you feel very tired.

Carbohydrates give your body energy.

Vitamin A helps your eyes.

Vitamin C makes your body strong so you don’t get sick.

Calcium makes your bones strong.
