Presentation transcript:

The Cell Project

Project #1 (100 pts, due 8/7): You and a partner will do a project based on either a Plant Cell or an Animal Cell. Options for your project may include constructing a poster or a model, writing a poem or a song, filming a video, or a project of your own design. A portion of the grade for the project will be based on the input of a panel of peers who will assess both the project and the student's presentation of their project.

The Animal Cell Includes the following structures: Organelle Endoplasmic Reticulum Cytoplasm Golgi apparatus Nuclear Envelope Lysosome Chromatin Vacuole Chromosome Mitochondrion Nucleolus Cytoskeleton Ribosome Centriole

The Plant Cell Includes the following structures: Organelle Endoplasmic Reticulum Cytoplasm Golgi apparatus Nuclear Envelope Lysosome Chromatin Vacuole Chromosome Mitochondrion Nucleolus Cell Wall Ribosome Centriole Chloroplast Cell membrane

Project #1 (100 pts, due 8/7): Your project should include the following elements: Pictures and other visuals of plant or animal cells Explanation of each of the structures and organells in the cells. How Plant and Animal Cells differ from one another.

Project #1 (100 pts, due 8/7):
