Who are the Education Authority Education Authority (EA) Established 1st April 2015. The Authority is a Regional Body Replaced the five former Education & Library Boards. The Authority is an ALB of the Department of Education The Authority works in partnership with wide range of Bodies for e.g. Controlled Schools CCMS etc.

What Does The Authority Do? ‘To inspire, support and challenge all our Children and Young People to be the best that they can be’ Responsible for: Providing and delivering education services in Northern Ireland; Ensuring efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet needs of children and young people and Ensuring provision of efficient and effective youth services
