This group included a Coca Cola Foundation Scholar, a Jack Kent Cooke Fellowship recipient, a Foot Locker Scholarship recipient, an EC Scholar, a Carolina Covenant Scholar, and full tuition scholarship recipients at Princeton, Johns Hopkins, UNC-Chapel Hill, Meredith and ECU.

In the words of students... *My favorite part of IB is the small class size because we can be close and all work together. Yes, the work is hard, but is is a lot more manageable when you have a close group of 10 other people facing the exact same challenge. *close knit community, attention and support given, dedicated teachers *the close connection with teachers, being around motivated people, preparation for college and having opportunities not available to everyone else. *I enjoy the small class size and how that has allowed me to grow closer to my classmates and teachers. I am comfortable in my classes and feel accepted and supported by my classmates and teachers.

In the words of students... *dedicated teachers, bonds created among students & between teachers & students *I enjoy that in the junior class there are only 11 of us and we can get more time with the teacher if we need help. We aren’t babied like we were in Honors classes. I like the fact that IB challenges us to do the best we can and I love this programme so much. *I think the best thing is how close you grow with your fellow classmates and teachers. In addition to that, I can tell a noticeable improvement in my writing. *I love that the curriculum is challenging, but the atmosphere is relaxed. During class discussions, everyone feels like what they have to say will be heard and considered.
