The curriculum contains six subject groups and a core of three parts.  three subjects at higher level (240 hours each).  three subjects at standard level (150 hours each).  all three parts of the core. 7 PLANNING AHEAD WITHIN THE IB PROGRAM Requirements for the IB Diploma: Study of six disciplines with acceptable scores on one examination from each group. Minimum of 3 examinations at Higher Level and maximum of 4 at Higher Level Maximum of 3 examinations at Standard Level and minimum of 2 at Standard Level Completion of Extended Essay Completion of Theory of Knowledge 1 and 2 Completion of 150 hours of Creativity, Action, and Service activities group.
