Ping Pong Dunk Our goal: make a contraption that moves a ping-pong ball out of water to a different container Parts were made from Wal*Mart specials and sticks from Melrose Courtyard

Our Design Allow glass ball to roll down ramp into a container placed on a lever Lever pulls down which causes fishing wire to pull water bottle up Water pours into funnel and cup Platform and ping-pong ball float to top and ball falls into next container

~Energy Conversions~ Potential energy converted to kinetic by ramps Transferred by>>>lever!!! Creates tension in string which releases potential energy of H20 Force of water pushes platform up to release potential energy of ball Ball then falls into a container

Conclusion Issues: finding a ball with the correct mass needed to pull water bottle, creating the fulcrum, making the ping-pong ball fall in a designated direction Learned that designing things and creating the design are much harder than it seems
