Program purpose Little oak middle school is committed to teaching citizenship and modeling respect and ethical behavior to help students become productive, responsible members of society.

Positive intervention support team purpose To facilitate positive behavior changes in students. To reduce the number of inappropriate behaviors by educating teachers, staff, and students. To reinforce appropriate behaviors. Team meetings are held after school on the first Monday of each month in room 207. Pbis ambassadors will meet monthly and/or as needs arise. All faculty members are invited and encouraged to attend the monthly meetings.

Student rewards

Pbis rewards CLASSROOM REWARDS SCHOOL-WIDE REWARDS Each teacher will refer to the grade level “Cash-In Poster” for the reward system, so that students can benefit from their “Golden Acorns”. Cash-Ins will take place during Morning Meeting every Friday. SCHOOL-WIDE REWARDS “Golden Acorn” – Faculty and staff members recognize students who consistently exhibit appropriate behavior. When a student receives a faculty initialed “Golden Acorn” ticket, he/she can trade the tickets for weekly classroom incentives, as well the quarterly Acorn Bash! “Oak Tree Dollar” – Faculty and staff members recognize classes that exhibit appropriate behavior. These classes are given “Oak Tree Dollars”. Classes may earn up to 3 Oak Tree Dollars at a time. At the end of each month, teachers will turn in the number of dollars earned to Mrs. Guttuso via e-mail. The classes having the highest number of dollars will enjoy a pizza party! “Friday Fun Night” – This is an activity for students who do not have any administrative behavior reports. This may include excessive tardies/absences and/or excessive fines/fees. This event is sponsored by our PTA! The “A”Team – At the end of the first three 9 week grading periods, students who have all A’s will be recognized with a special activity during lunch!
