Report back from the Interim SAG on its progress towards the Terms of Reference (ToR) GNC Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) Global Nutrition Cluster Annual Meeting Geneva, 9 – 11 July 2013

Background Jan 2013 suggested, operational Mar 2013 Objective to provide strategic direction for and oversight of the activity of the GNC for 6 months and overseeing governance review Membership GNC Coordinator and UNICEF representative were appointed Others self nominated and no vote due to small numbers: WFP (chair), HelpAge, Concern, ACF, NCC

Activities Communication Governance Action plan Advocacy Monthly by skype with additional scheduled meetings as required Excellent attendance / commitment of members Governance Review of TOR, participation in selection, orientation, inputs into inception report, preliminary results feedback (now being presented) Action plan revised and streamlined the workplan and prioritized GNC tasks over period March - July (and circulation) Advocacy Letter to request forum (drafted among partners, next draft by SAG, circulation to partners and sent) Advocacy strategy (postponed)
