NEW Procedure to login to your Office 365 / BDC email account December 2017

Background For cyber-security reasons, BDC is implementing this new procedure to access your Office 365 / BDC email account. The process is relatively simple and intuitive. Once set- up, when logging–in, Microsoft will instantaneously send a verification code by text to your smartphone. Enter your code and your password and you are good to go for a full day. Steps to login to your Office 365 / BDC email account 01. Go to: https://outlook.office365.com/owa Enter your BDC email address and your password. Then click on “Sign in” . 02. Finally, enter your username and your password. Your username is made up of the first 4 letters of your last name and the first 2 letters of your first name. Click on “Sign in” If you have a problem with your username, please call the BDC Help Desk. Examples username: James McDonough MCDOJA Roger Flynn FLYNRO Amanda Burn BURNAM

Steps to login to your Office 365 / BDC email account – 2 step verification 03. 04. After you choose Sign in, you'll see this page. Choose Set it up now Select your authentication method and then follow the prompts on the page. After you verify your alternate contact method, choose Next. 05. The next time you sign in to Office 365, you'll be prompted to enter the code that is sent to you by text message or phone call. This verification code will allow you to log in for the day provided you check off the “Don’t bother me again for today” box. You don't need to memorize this password. If you have a problem and need to have a new code sent to you, simply press F5 on your keyboard
