Work-Based Learning in Media Communications at ITC

Work-based Learning at ITC Learning that provides students with real-life work experiences where they can apply academic and technical skills and develop employability skills.

Teamwork - Learn to work in teams Career Ready Skills Teamwork - Learn to work in teams Communication – Perfect the many ways professionals communicate Be creative and innovative Act as a responsible and contributing citizen and employee

Professional Certification All students will have the opportunity to earn professional certifications.

Career Coaches Professionals working in Media Communication careers. They will come to our school to work with you.

Field Trips Students visit the business as a group and tour the facility. Visit with employees.

WorkPlace Challenge Company gives students a “real world” issue they are facing to solve. Students try and solve it. Present to company representatives.

Students spend time at the company shadowing workers. Job Shadows Students spend time at the company shadowing workers.

Internships Students performing work for a business partner. Time commitment – 4 – 5 hours a day for three – four weeks.

Employment We hope our business partners are so happy with our students….they will offer them jobs!
