Parasympathetic By Luis Meraz Period 1 Autonomic System Parasympathetic By Luis Meraz Period 1

Autonomic System Serves the internal organs and glands There are two branches parasympathetic and sympathetic Both branches work together to bring the body to and from arousal state Both are related to emotional responses

Parasympathetic Branch The parasympathetic branch is a part of the ANS ( Autonomic Nervous System) It quiets the body and returns it to a lower level of arousal. Also helps vital functions heart rate, breathing, and digestion.
