The students have done a wonderful job settling back into their school routines. This week, teachers have spent a lot of time teaching and reviewing classroom procedures and expectations. The students must be catching on quickly because we have had a ton of them “clip off the chart” for the last couple of days. Be sure to ask your child what that means! Mrs. Shunk Friday, August 17, 2018 Backpack Tags On Thursday, our students received luggage tags for their backpacks. The tags have the students’ names on them, along with their mode of transportation. Please do not remove the tags from your student’s backpack. This is a safety procedure for the school and helps us ensure that the students get home safely. Leader in Me JCES is a Leader in Me school. Our goal is to “communicate each child’s worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves.” Throughout the school year, your child will be learning, practicing and developing the following 7 habits. Habit 1: Be Proactive (I am in charge of myself.) Habit 2: Begin With The End In Mind ( I plan ahead and set goals.) Habit 3: Put First Things First (I work first then play.) JCES Football/Cheer Our football and cheer teams have been working hard for their upcoming season, which starts on August 25th. Come out and support them if you have the chance!
