Foreign Country Presentation Collaboration and Planning…

Outline of Presentation Introduce your group and unit. Introduce your names Introduce your unit and what you will talk about “Hello! My name is ___________, and today, we will be talking about France, Japan, etc...” Review something about your country. (people, culture, food, places to visit, interesting history, etc.) – 3 minutes Find something new or interesting to review Try to make it something that is unique to that country (Joseon in Korea was the longest monarch in the world) Have a section on your PPT for this

Outline of Presentation Make an interesting role-play about your country (documentary, visiting friends, reality TV show [Battle Trip], etc.) – 5-7 minutes Use a PPT to make it interesting DON’T READ OFF THE PPT This must be memorized (with emergency script is ok) Ask audience questions about your presentation. – 2 minutes Create 5-6 questions Don’t make the questions too easy or too difficult, make them reasonable ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE RELATED TO REVIEW AND ROLE-PLAY Give a final greeting – thank you and bow

How will you be graded? Team Grade – 50 points Review – were the facts about your country interesting and fun? Conversation – was the conversation interesting? Could the class understand well? Quiz – were the questions too easy/hard? Did the questions match your conversation? Individual Grade – 50 points Did you speak well? How was your body language? Could everyone hear you ok? Were you respectful to your team and to other teams?

What should you bring or have? Interesting PPT for your presentation NO WORDS for your role-play Make sure all quiz questions and review items are on PPT OPTIONAL prizes for the quiz A script for each person on the day of the presentation

Work in your groups for the rest of the class. Group Preparation Work in your groups for the rest of the class. Tell the professor what your country will be and what you will talk about.
