Publisher Overview Part 2

Editing and Applying Effects to a Picture Picture Tools Format Tab appears when you select a picture in Publisher Have the option to change: Quality Style Size-related attributes of a picture

Options to Editing and Applying Effects to a Picture Resize picture by specifying height and width If you change the height of the picture, the width automatically changes in proportion to the height and vice versa. To change the height and width independently: clear the Lock aspect ratio option.

Crop Feature To show the relevant part of a big picture, use the crop option to trim the edges of the picture Cropping handles appear on the edges of the picture. Just drag the cropping handles to trim the picture

Shadow Effects Give your picture an embossed or three-D look by applying a shadow effect Nudge Shadow options: allow the shadow to move up, down, left or right Nudge Shadow Options

Viewing a Publication Navigation Pane: 2 choices Single Page: View 1 page at a time for default programs Blank publications Template based productions like postcards and brochures 2 Page Spread: View 2 pages at a time for default programs like Books Greeting cards Booklets Newsletters Location: View Ribbon, Layout Group

Magnifying Content To see what small text or a picture looks like you can zoom in on the information. Located on the View Ribbon Can type in the amount or open the dialog box for % options. Click zoom and the selected object will fill the window.
