Adaptations of a Cobra By: Caleb Andress

The Cobra’s Tongue Snakes like cobras hunt at dawn and dusk. Cobras adapt to reply on cobra rely on their sense of smell. A cobra flicks his tongue helping him smell his prey.

Deadly Venom The cobra’s venom is deadly enough to bring down an elephant. Some cobras can spit their venom from eight feet away blinding their prey.

Scaring the Prey Cobras can stand upright when threatened, as well as making their heads into a hood to send their prey a message. Run away!

The Cobra’s Jaw The cobra's jaw can be important, allowing it to swallow its meal whole.
