Week 3 IT 6 To be Look carefully

Week 3 IT 5 To be This teacher led activity focuses on the verb ‘to be’. The slide show introduces ‘I am’, ‘he/she/it is’, and ‘they are’ with pictures and the children see how the verb changes. Examples of sentences, where either: ‘am’, ‘is’ or ‘are’, or the ‘I’, ‘He’, ‘She’, ‘It’ or ‘They’ are missing, are displayed in the slides and the children write their choice of word in the space. The children have a choice for each question: e.g. I …….. busy is / am/ are or ….. is swimming. He, She, They, I, It The children’s task is to write their choice of answer before feedback is given on the screen. A pencil appears on screen to remind the children to write and to discuss their choice of word, before the feedback appears on screen. The next 4 pages contain the answer sheets to be printed and distributed to the children before starting. They can write the complete sentence in the space on the worksheet, after the slide show, for extra reinforcement. Tom appears in the corner of each slide to show that he is describing each person from his point of view.
