Rainforest Map What are Rainforest? Tropical rainforests are forests with tall trees, warm climates, and lots of rain. In some rainforests it rains more than one inch nearly every day of the year!

Rainforest Central American Rainforest are in danger because… Humans Timber Land for poor farmers Grazing land for cattle Paper Construction of roads Climate Change Drought causes die-offs of trees which result in an increase in forest fires.

Living Rainforest Have 170,000 of 250,000 known plant species. Very diverse and plentiful amount of animals. Ex. 400 Species of Frogs. (US has 81) An area the size of two football fields can have up to 400 species of trees. (US would have 20)
