Top Tips to take away Before the day Prepare well READ! As with all aspects of English, reading widely is key. If you read for pleasure and to find information, your understanding and use of language will grow Practise, practise, practise! Complete as many practice tests as you can and find out which areas you are confident with and which you need to work a little harder at. If you need a copy of these slides, head to the facebook page where there will be a link to the student blog. Hard work does pay off!!

Top Tips to take away On the day RELAX… TAKE YOUR TIME… COMMON SENSE… On the day It is important that you are familiar and comfortable with the text before you try to answer any of the comprehension questions. Be sure to spend enough time reading through the text before you move onto the questions The text will continue to appear on each question screen, so that you can refer to it if necessary Try to maximise the number of marks you pick up by answering the questions you find easiest first. You can return to any questions that you need to complete Don’t dwell for too long on any particular question
