Performance Art A form of art in which a performer use their voices, bodies, instruments, or inanimate objects to convey artistic expression for an audience Different from visual arts, which the artist created a physical artwork Can be performed on stage, on the streets, or recorded & enjoyed later

Theater Involves acting out stories in front of a live audience Performed on a formally designed stage or set w/ costumes Designed to express the physicality & immediacy Uses a combination of speech, gesture, music, dance, sound and spectacle
